The problem
Finding useful research, getting feedback, and staying engaged are connected challenges. Search and reference tools help with parts of the process; people also need ways to learn, develop ideas, and keep moving.
For partners and funders
Talent and curiosity exist everywhere. Access to research tools, feedback, and influential networks does not. R3ciprocity brings community and machine learning together to help more people develop ideas that can compete on the world stage.

Finding useful research, getting feedback, and staying engaged are connected challenges. Search and reference tools help with parts of the process; people also need ways to learn, develop ideas, and keep moving.
Connect paper discovery, quick comparisons, community feedback, and project development in one experience. Machine learning helps personalize discovery; people bring the perspectives that help an idea grow.
Expand access to practical research support and build evidence about what works. A partnership can support both useful tools and a better understanding of how ideas develop.
Better access to discovery, feedback, and research training can open opportunities for students, researchers outside strong networks, and people working across institutions and fields. Our ambition is a research community in which more promising ideas have a chance to develop.
R3ciprocity combines working research tools with a long-running educational project. Founder David Maslach’s scholarship examines innovation, learning, and decisions under uncertainty. The R3ciprocity Project has reached millions across online platforms.
Partners can help test whether people find useful papers faster, improve at assessing unfamiliar research, develop stronger ideas, or participate more consistently. We can define the outcomes in advance, make fair comparisons, and share what the evidence shows.
Research learning and training are relevant themes for NSF; scientific reasoning, research practices, and learning from uncertain findings are relevant to NIH; and broader access to knowledge and research support can connect with the interests of the Gates Foundation and other foundations. Specific programs and eligibility require their own review.
Universities and research centers could explore research training or an evaluation pilot. Foundations could support access and independent studies. Companies in biotech, pharmaceuticals, and other research-intensive industries could support researcher development or evaluation with clear research independence and disclosure. These are opportunities to develop together.
